- I got inspiration for this painting from my garden. I had planted forget me nots after my beloved dog passed one winter. My father had an allotment full of wild poppies. I gathered the seeds and sprinkled them in my garden. My dad passed and this spring and summer my garden was overtaken by all these beautiful flowers. I will never forget, they make all my memories coming flooding back.
